Gynecological oncology is currently undergoing radical changes, taking into account novel pieces of evidence from molecular and cell biology as well as large clinical trials that are shaping the cancer management. In particular, the fertility-sparing approach allows to maintain reproductive potential even when gynecological cancers are diagnosed in women during reproductive age. In addition, novel combinations of chemo-radiotherapies, including hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), allow to maximize the result of radical surgery and to improve overall and disease free survival. Taking into account these elements, the special issue aims to collect high quality studies and reviews about the most recent advancements in gynecological oncology.
