Professor Dong Wu Has Joined as Associate Editor of the British Journal of Hospital Medicine

We are pleased to announce that Professor Dong Wu has been appointed as an Associate Editor of the British Journal of Hospital Medicine (BJHM, P-ISSN: 1750-8460 | E-ISSN: 1759-7390), with his term commencing in March 2026.

Dong Wu, MD, Professor of Medicine, is Vice President of Peking Union Medical College Hospital and President of the People’s Hospital of Xizang Autonomous Region. He serves as a doctoral supervisor at the Peking Union Medical College and Xizang University, and as an expert reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission. His research focuses on gastrointestinal endoscopy, pancreatology, and the gut microbiota, with an emphasis on precision diagnostics and medical device innovation. He has led multiple national-level research projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China. He has published over 110 SCI-indexed papers in leading journals such as Gastroenterology, JAMA Network Open, Science China Life Sciences, and Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics. His work has received over 4300 citations, with an H-index of 35 (Google Scholar), and includes two ESI Highly Cited Papers. In addition, he has authored more than 30 textbook chapters.

Professor Wu’s appointment reflects his distinguished contributions to clinical research, translational innovation, and academic leadership. We are confident that his expertise will support the continued development of BJHM and enhance its impact in hospital medicine and multidisciplinary clinical practice.
