Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Echocardiography is a non-invasive examination that is essential for the practice of modern cardiovascular medicine. Recently, echocardiographic equipment has become smaller and has the appearance of a mobile phone. The time has come for all doctors to carry such a device with them. In this special issue, we will discuss the Doppler method, three-dimensional echocardiography, and the latest technology including speckle tracking echocardiography and vector flow mapping. We also discuss stress echocardiography, not only for detecting ischemia, but also for diagnosing early stages of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction or pulmonary hypertension.
