Update in Ovarian Cancer Treatment

Dear Colleagues,

Ovarian cancer remains the major unresolved problem of gynecologic oncologists in terms of effective treatment. An increasing number of women have benefited with prolonged survival thanks to surgical management and the introduction of new therapeutic strategies altering the outcome for ovarian cancer patients.

Management of ovarian cancer is a dynamic field with recent advances shifting the treatment paradigm resulting in significant clinical benefit for patients. Surgery both as frontline and in a neoadjuvant setting during relapse has been able to achieve complete cytoreduction for some ovarian cancer patients. Improvements have come from the role of genetic testing in ovarian cancer with BRCA, HRD or genetic panel tests changing the therapeutic decisions. It is critical that quality of life be considered a crucial aim that must be considered early by clinicians in the global treatment of these patients.

This Special Issue is focused on novel therapeutic strategies in surgery, chemotherapy, innovative administration schedules and alternative approaches in order to improve therapy for ovarian cancer patients. We welcome investigators and physicians worldwide to contribute with their original research articles and clinical reviews.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) in this open access journal is 1500 USD. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
