Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recently, Fc gamma receptors (FcgRs) are among the receptors that gained much attention. In particular, opsonized antigens or immune complexes (ICs) are recognized by Fc-gamma receptors (FcRs), which causes these molecules to be internalized and/or trigger downstream signaling cascades. Although most of the FcgRs are activating receptors, FcgRIIb is an inhibitory receptor that counteracts several cell activities. The balance between activating and inhibitory FcgRs are involved in various mechanisms. Moreover, the cross-link between FcgRs and other receptors might induce several diverse actions of cell activities making a complex relationship that can be controlled directly through FcgRs or indirectly via other cross-linked receptors. Despite the non-existence of FcgRs in T cells, FcgRs are present in most of the immune cells that indirectly control T cell functions. Hence, the understanding and manipulations of FcgRs has the potential to be beneficial for the treatment of several human conditions. This special issue will focus on the current understanding of the mechanisms and roles of FcgRs in several conditions, as well as their possible value as therapeutic targets.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted via our online editorial system at https://imr.propub.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to start your submission. Manuscripts can be submitted now or up until the deadline. All papers will go through peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published in the journal (as soon as accepted) and meanwhile listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, reviews as well as short communications are preferred. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office to announce on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) in this open access journal is 2500 USD. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
