Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Enzymes play a pivotal role within the realm of drug development across the pharmaceutical landscape. At the heart of this endeavor lies the complicated interplay between molecules and proteins, that must be unraveled to understand their multifaceted reactions. Numerous analytical methodologies are necessary to define their mechanisms of action. This involves the understanding of purification paradigms, kinetics dissection, protein stabilization methodologies, and the optimization of crucial parameters such as pH, temperature, and ionic strength. Furthermore it is necessary to learn about substrate-product binding dynamics, ligand and protein interactions, the revelation of three-dimensional structural nuances, and the transformative contours defined by conformational variations.

A recent seismic shift has transformed this landscape with the advent of in silico analysis. This catalytic leap has propelled the study of enzyme characterization to new heights. The mechanisms of molecular docking and molecular dynamics play a pivotal role in this transformative process. Our Special Issue serves as a symposium of new ideas to better understand the profound interactions between enzymes and proteins in the development of new drugs to treat various diseases in clinical practice.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted via our online editorial system at https://imr.propub.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to start your submission. Manuscripts can be submitted now or up until the deadline. All papers will go through peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published in the journal (as soon as accepted) and meanwhile listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, reviews as well as short communications are preferred. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office to announce on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) in this open access journal is 2500 USD. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
